Psychological assessment offers a thorough and in-depth formulation of a person's difffulties, taking into account context, history, needs, strengths, cognitive functions (like decision-making, problemsolving, attention, concentration, memory), relationship patterns, state of mind, mental health issues and how they impact on everyday life. The assessment usually involves informal discussion and use of relevant questionnaires and/or psychometric tests. The assessment can take place in one or several sessions dependent on the person and situation. There will be a written report with a set of recommendations.
